2016 Kenzo Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Ai

Kenzo's 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Ai is a blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. Consultant Heidi Barrett publicly split with the winery in 2022, so this wine was finalized by current winemaker Marc Nanes. Personalities aside, the wine offers up nicely perfumed and fruit-driven aromas of cherries and raspberries, even some stone fruit notes. It's full-bodied, concentrated, ripe and supple, showing ample richness and depth, plus a long, elegant finish. Impressive.
