| I like that it s a juicy style that does not get bogged down in winemaking at the expense of drinking appeal. Some potpourri perfume, dried cherry and boysenberry, aniseed, seasoned with dried herb and a little spice. Not too much in the way of oak, that I can see. Medium to full bodied, fresh and juicy, with subtle bitterness tempering the sweet ripe fruit. Tannin pulls a little grippy on the finish, but otherwise it s a charming easy going Barossa Shiraz that s well worth the asking price. |
